TAMS Mission
TAMS' mission is to advance the total health of adolescents. We will accomplish this by providing accessible health services and advocating on behalf of youth regardless of ability to pay and respect for all races, beliefs, and lifestyles. We serve all adolescents-especially those youth whose complex needs are not served by the traditional health care system.

TAMS History
Teen Age Medical Service, or TAMS, is the adolescent outpatient program of Children's Health Care. It opened in 1968 as a reproductive health clinic in a renovated house in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis. Today TAMS is still in the house! The services have expanded to include primary health care and special programs in asthma, health education and outreach, eating disorders, and counseling for kids at both the main clinic and the school based clinic at Southwest High School.
